Birds 6/7 through 6/10 included Osprey, Common Merganser, Double-
crested Cormorant, Fish Crow, Green Heron, Wood Duck, Common
Nighthawk, Eastern Phoebe, Yellow Warbler, Eastern Wood-Pewee,
Wood Thrush, Ovenbird, Red-eyed Vireo, Indigo Bunting, Eastern Towhee, Common Yellowthroat, Baltimore Oriole, and Chipping Sparrow.

WEISHAMPLE: (rb)
Birds on 6/8 and 6/9 included Eastern Phoebe (nest with 5 young),
Yellow Warbler, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Great Crested Flycatcher,
Red-eyed Vireo, Wood Thrush, Scarlet Tanager, Pileated Woodpecker,
Northern Flicker, Eastern Towhee, Song Sparrow, Northern Cardinal,
Ovenbird, Canada Goose, American Crow, and Turkey Vulture.

WEST PENN TWP. - CLAMTOWN: (bb)
Birds for the week included Wood Thrush with 4 young, White-breasted
Nuthatches (abandoned nest cavity), Red-bellied Woodpeckers with 3
young, a pair of Purple Finches, American Goldfinches, Ruby-throated
Hummingbirds, Veeries, Ovenbirds, Ruffed Grouse, Eastern Bluebirds,
Northern Cardinals, Baltimore Orioles, Gray Catbirds, Common Grackles,
and a Bear who is raiding feeders and dining on suet.

SHARTLESVILLE - Berks County: (dkn,johd,jond,bk,aml,fl,et al.)
The Red-necked Phalarope at the Shartlesville pond was observed by
numerous Schuylkill County birders, and was last seen there on 6/8.

RINGTOWN: (mg)
Cedar Waxwings have been reported as nesting at the same location
for the second straight year.

NEW RINGGOLD area: (ddol,ld)
Cedar Waxwings have also been reported from a location north of this
location.

LUTZ VALLEY ROAD - Wayne Twp: (bc,cc)
On 6/7 a young Great Horned Owl was heard calling, and a raccoon
was seen munching on old hamburger buns at a barbecue pit.

SGL-222 to DEVIL'S HOLE: (tc)
On 6/11 some late evening birds included Canada Warbler, Hooded
Warbler, Prairie Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Yellow Warbler,
Veery, Wood Thrush, Ovenbird, Scarlet Tanager, Black-throated Green
Warbler, Red-eyed Vireo, Great Crested Flycatcher, and Eastern
Wood-Pewee.

OWL CREEK WATERSHED: (dkr)
On 6/8 bird highlights were Pine Warbler, Brown Creeper, Red-breasted
Nuthatch, Northern Parula, Blackburnian Warbler, Black-throated Blue
Warbler, Great Crested Flycatcher, Blue-headed Vireo, Golden-crowned
Kinglet, Wood Duck, Eastern Phoebe, Hooded Warbler, Veery, and
Canada Warbler.

STILL CREEK RESERVOIR: (dkr)
Birds on 6/8 included Alder Flycatcher, and Pine Warbler.

RATTLING RUN: (dkr)
On 6/9 birds included Northern Parula, 4 Wood Thrushes, Rose-breasted
Grosbeak, 4 Worm-eating Warblers, 2 Acadian Flycatchers, Louisiana
Waterthrush, Winter Wren, Veery, and Black-throated Green Warbler.

MOLINO RAILROAD AREA: (dkr)
On 6/9 birds included Black-billed Cuckoo, Field Sparrow, Chestnut-
sided Warbler, American Redstart, Blue-winged Warbler, 2 Willow
Flycatchers, Alder Flycatcher, and 2 White-eyed Vireos.

SCHUYLKILL RIVER MOLINO AREA: (dkr)
On 6/9 birds included Wood Thrush, 4 Worm-eating Warblers, Belted
Kingfisher, Louisiana Waterthrush, Great Crested Flycatcher, Baltimore
Oriole, and Acadian Flycatcher.

LEBANON RESERVOIR, FISHING CREEK, DE HAAS RUN: (dkr)
On 6/13 birds included an agressive Yellow-throated Vireo, a singing
White-throated Sparrow, female Common Merganser, Northern Parula,
3 Pileated Woodpeckers, 2 Hairy Woodpeckers, Red-shouldered Hawk,
4 Blue-headed Vireos, Black-billed Cuckoo, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Canada Warbler, 6 Hooded Warblers, 5 Black-throated Blue Warblers,
Barred Owl, 2 Swamp Sparrows, 10 Acadian Flycatchers, and Worm-
eating Warbler carrying food for young.

TUMBLING RUN WATERSHED: (tc)
On 6/13 birds included Canada Warbler, Hooded Warbler, Blackburnian
Warbler, Chestnut-sided Warbler, Worm-eating Warbler, Prairie Warbler,
Ovenbird, American Redstart, Black-throated Blue Warbler, Black-and
white Warbler, Magnolia Warbler, Black-throated Green Warbler, Common Yellowthroat, Louisiana Waterthrush, Wood Thrush, Veery,
Scarlet Tanager, Brown Creeper, Northern Parula, Eastern Towhee, Field
Sparrow, Chipping Sparrow, Song Sparrow, Baltimore Oriole, Carolina
Wren, House Wren, Pileated Woodpecker, Hairy Woodpecker, Downy
Woodpecker, Northern Flicker, Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Wood Duck,
Mallard, Acadian Flycatcher, Eastern Wood-Pewee, Blue-headed Vireo,
Gray Catbird, White-breasted Nuthatch, Tufted Titmouse, Red-eyed
Vireo, and Black-capped Chickadee.

TAMAQUA area: (johd, jond)
On 6/9 there were 2 Black Vultures seen between Tamaqua & McAdoo.
On 6/10 a Bald Eagle was seen flying over Confetti's Restaurant.

McADOO HOLLOW: (johd,jond)
On 6/11 there was a confirmed nesting Black-billed Cuckoo. Other birds
were Hairy Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, Scarlet Tanager, Worm-
eating Warbler, Ovenbird, Black-and-white Warbler, Hermit Thrush, Red-
eyed Vireo, Black-capped Chickadee, Pileated Woodpecker, Common
Grackle, Eastern Wood-Pewee, and American Robin.
On 6/13 at this location there was a confirmed nesting Scarlet Tanager
and Ovenbird. Other birds included Black-throated Blue Warbler, White-
breasted Nuthatch, Blue Jay, Hairy Woodpecker, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher,
Black-and-white Warbler, Red-eyed Vireo, and American Robin.
