Hairy Woodpecker, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Pileated Woodpecker,
Carolina Wren, and Rose-breasted Grosbeak.

Birds on 9/22 included LINCOLN'S SPARROW, Yellow-throated Vireo,
Blue-headed Vireo, Tennessee Warbler, Nashville Warbler, 2 Black-
throated Blue Warblers, 4 Blackpoll Warblers, Pine Warbler, Chestnut-
sided Warbler, 2 Black-throated Green Warblers, 2 Northern Parulas,
2 American Redstarts, Red-breasted Nuthatch, and Rose-breasted
Grosbeak.
On 9/26 birds included 11 Turkey Vultures, Sharp-shinned Hawk, Wild
Turkey, 2 Mourning Doves, Red-bellied Woodpecker, Downy Wood-
pecker, Northern Flicker, Eastern Wood-Pewee, 3 Eastern Phoebes,
2 WILLOW FLYCATCHERS, 15 Blue Jays, 15 American Crows, 40
Black-capped Chickadees, CAROLINA CHICKADEE, 2 Red-breasted
Nuthatches, White-breasted Nuthatch, 10 American Robins, 3 Gray
Catbirds, 2 European Starlings, 10 Cedar Waxwings, Northern Parula,

A Northern Harrier was hunting an adjacent field on 9/22.

OWL CREEK WATERSHED: (bj)
On 9/22 birds included DARK-EYED JUNCO, WHITE-THROATED
SPARROW, Song Sparrow, White-breasted Nuthatch, Blue Jay,
American Crow, and Black-capped Chickadee.

LANDINGVILLE MARSH: (bj)
On 9/21 birds included 2 Pileated Woodpeckers, American Crow,
Belted Kingfisher, American Robin, Great Blue Heron, Northern
Cardinal, Carolina Wren, Wood Duck, Northern Flicker, Eastern
Phoebe, Tufted Titmouse, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Brown Thrasher,
Pine Warbler, and Downy Woodpecker.

WEST PENN TWP. - CLAMTOWN: (bb)
Almost 30 Eastern Bluebirds were observed, as well as Wild Turkey,
and young American Crows. Other birds for the week included Gray
Catbird, Red-tailed Hawk, American Kestrel, Mourning Dove, Great
Blue Heron, Downy Woodpecker, Turkey Vulture, Tufted Titmouse,
Black-capped Chickadee, American Goldfinch, Common Yellowthroat,
White-breasted Nuthatch, Magnolia Warbler, and Blue Jay.

ADAMSDALE: (vc)
Birds for the week include Turkey Vulture, Northern Flicker, Downy
Woodpecker, White-breasted Nuthatch, Black-capped Chickadee,
Northern Mockingbird, Gray Catbird, Common Yellowthroat, Killdeer,
Blue Jay, and Northern Cardinal.

TUMBLING RUN WATERSHED: (tc)
On 9/25 birds included COMMON RAVEN, Common Yellowthroat,
Gray Catbird, Eastern Towhee, Black-capped Chickadee, House
Wren, Blue Jay, Hermit Thrush, White-breasted Nuthatch, and Northern
Cardinal.

SGL-110 PORT CLINTON: (dkr,nt)
On 9/20 birds encountered at dusk included 6 WHITE-THROATED
SPARROWS, Great Horned Owl, and Eastern Screech-Owl.

SGL-110 BERKS/SCHUYLKILL: (kg)
On 9/26 there were 32 species reported, of which a SWAMP SPARROW
was seen in Schuylkill County.

HAWK MOUNTAIN SANCTUARY: (db,ml,staff/vols)
Non-raptor species of interest for the past week included RED-HEADED
WOODPECKER, 59 DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS, 1700 Canada
Geese, 13 species of warblers, 4 species of vireos, BLACK-BILLED
CUCKOO, and SWAINSON'S THRUSH.
On 9/25 a PEREGRINE FALCON was seen from the North Lookout, and
on 9/26 there were 11 MERLINS reported. Overall totals for the 2004
season to date are as follows: 864 Sharp-shinned Hawks, 138 Cooper's
Hawks, 106 Red-tailed Hawks, 13 Red-shouldered Hawks, 6369 Broad-
winged Hawks, 134 BALD EAGLES, 48 Northern Harriers, 552 Ospreys,
11 PEREGRINE FALCONS, 35 MERLINS, and 269 American Kestrels.
Including unidentified raptors the overal total is 8592.

LANDINGVILLE DAM, MARSH, SPILLWAY: (tc)
On 9/26 there were 51 species reported, some of which were 3 Great
Blue Herons, 3 Wood Ducks, Osprey, BALD EAGLE, American
Kestrel, YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO, Eastern Screech-Owl, 2 Belted
Kingfishers, 4 Red-bellied Woodpeckers, Hairy Woodpecker, 3 Northern
Flickers, Eastern Wood-Pewee, 12 Eastern Phoebes, 7 Carolina
Wrens, 3 House Wrens, WINTER WREN, Nashville Warbler, 18 Yellow-
rumped Warblers, 6 Black-throated Green Warblers, Blackburnian
Warbler, 9 Scarlet Tanagers, SWAMP SPARROW, 7 WHITE-
THROATED SPARROWS, 2 DARK-EYED JUNCOS, and 31 Indigo Buntings.

HIDDEN VALLEY: (aml)
Birds for the week include Eastern Phoebe, Killdeer, Northern Flicker,
Chipping Sparrow, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Red-tailed Hawk,
Cooper's Hawk, Sharp-shinned Hawk, Turkey Vulture, American Crow,
European Starling, Song Sparrow, Northern Mockingbird, Northern
Cardinal, Tufted Titmouse, Black-capped Chickadee, House Finch,
and House Sparrow.

AIR PRODUCTS WILDLIFE SANCTUARY: (johd,jond)
On 9/26 birds included 14 Wood Ducks, Turkey Vulture, 2 NORTHERN
BOBWHITES, Mourning Dove, 10 Rock Pigeons, Belted Kingfisher,
3 Northern Flickers, 6 Eastern Wood-Pewees, 12 Eastern Phoebes,
4 Blue-headed Vireos, 30 Blue Jays, 4 American Crows, Black-capped
Chickadee, 5 American Robins, 5 Gray Catbirds, 4 European Starlings,
10 Yellow-rumped Warblers, 2 Black-throated Green Warblers, Prairie
Warbler, 2 PALM WARBLERS, 2 Common Yellowthroats, Northern
Cardinal, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, 2 Indigo Buntings, 5 Song Sparrows,
